Mewing — sharpen your jawline

Mewing is the practice of resting your tongue on the roof of your mouth to support your jaw and midface. Done consistently, it’s a cornerstone of jawline training.

What is mewing?

Mewing means keeping your entire tongue (including the back) flat against your palate, with lips sealed and teeth lightly touching. The goal is correct oral posture all day long.

How to mew correctly

Place the tip of your tongue just behind your top teeth, then suction the whole tongue up to the roof of your mouth. Breathe through your nose and hold it as your default resting posture.

Mewing + jaw exercises

Mewing works best combined with active jaw training. The Chad Rankings jawline program pairs hard mewing with chin tucks, jaw isometrics and glides for faster definition.
